    midi in linux

I hope to do some music creation in Linux, when i get it, and was wondering, how does Midi function in Linux? My keyboard (Casio CTK720) came with a Windows driver, and i can't track any drivers for it for linux. Is it just a matter of connecting the keyboard, and then running the software of my choice, and configuring it there? I've searched for half an hour, and didn't find anything.

For me is just plugging in most of the time enough. I have got an external sound card, but that wouldn't work properly. I also have got only a windows driver, but I still can play my music in Linux, with the (now better working, because since I use Linux) internal sound card. You can always see what it does when you plug in the device.

cool. i'll have to wait and see, i guess. i've heard that Linux and even Mac are more lenient on MIDI than windows is. A better question, What would it take to use my keyboard with LMMS (Linux Multimedia Studio)?
