    Understanding Scripts...

I'm fairly new to writing scripts, so I'm having a hard time learning how to understand what all of the various symbols and notations mean. Can anyone direct me to any useful links that might help me become a good programmer for scripts for Unix/Linux. Thanks in advance...

You can check here for some good information on using the command line with Linux:

LinuxCommand.org: Learn the Linux command line. Write shell scripts.
