    Judging from the Clock and the WinAmp icon, it looks like Windows Vista or XP with WindowBlinds to me.

    Being able to read the text in the left could be more illuminative.

    its just an rss feed and drive space information. it's the toolbar on the right that has me perplexed. never seen those icons before.

    It's definitely Windows - there is a drive C and drive D.

    The icons are probably a set downloaded from somewhere and a very nice background image

    I would have said "see sig"

    But the C: and D: drives pretty much give it away as Redmond. Don't know what version though.
    Can't tell an OS by it's GUI
