hello,
i need to install packages for playing mp3 files on fedora 7,but add/remove software is not working,it says that connection to network doesn't exists,i am working on desktop system,can any one tell how to resolve it.

I'm using Fedora 7 , I don't think Fedora 7 Add/Remove program works without internet.
Try installing the packages manually, I will copy them from DVD/CD and run
rpm -ivh packagename.rpm
For mp3 you would need to google and download the required rpm and libraries..It may take sometime to fix it .

Without net you might run into some dependency issues that will cause headaches. I'm not positive with the mp3 support but I know from personal experience that often times you'll try to manually install one thing and end up having to install 10 to get that one thing working....any way for you to get connected to the net (wired if wireless isn't working) so that you can use the add/remove programs?
