Creating Users (should be easy 4 you to ans.)
Ok im taking a Linux Class in college and am working on a "challenge" lab. I need your help because I am new to Linux and am finding it very frustrating. This is the first part and am not sure if i need to create these users and set all there configs in one command or if its multiple. I am using the command line. I believe the command i need to use is "useradd" but then theres a alot more to it with bunches of parameters. I need help
Here are the instructions:
Create 10 users
~ 2 users should be created for each department
~ each user should be created with a home directory
~ Default password should be used for initial login
~ Include users 'real name' in the password file (Hint do this when user is created)
~ Default shell for all users should be 'bash', with exception to the accountants and management
~ Accountants and management should use the 'sh' shell
~ Username should have the following format
- Department
- (IS) Information systems
- (PRG) Programmers
- (ACC) Accountants
- (MGT) management
- (HD) Help Dest
- Usernumber
-ituser1
-mgtuser1
-hduser1
-hduser2
-etc...

Sorry... homework questions are against Forum Rules. You'll need to look into your textbook, or the man pages.
