    You mean no hard drive?

    Any brand of internal cd/dvd writer should work.

    I would put in 2 optical drives, have something like Knoppix running off a live cd in one drive, and have a blank dvd-rw in the other drive for saving stuff to.

    Also, I would use as much RAM as you can possibly get.
