Terminal commands
Hey I very new to Linux and I need help with some command line commands.
I have multiple types of files in a directory and I would like to sort them and send them to type specific subfolders. Are there any commands I could run which could help me to do this? Or are there any scripting tutorials or easy scripts that could point me in the right direction?
Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forums!
A great place to learn some Linux command line basics is here:
LinuxCommand.org: Learn the Linux command line. Write shell scripts.
Hope you have fun with it.oz

Thank you very much. The website very clearly explains all the basics and has given me a much better understanding of specific concepts behind the command line. I had read extensively both on the net and through a few books, but this helped me grasp some of the lingo that my previous viewed sources took for granted!
