    BitTorrent - Where to get it an how to install?

    Bittorrent is a protocol rather than a specific product. I will always recommend installing software from your repositories rather than from downloaded files. Linux Mint is an Ubuntu derivative so you should have Synaptic or Adept for package management. Launch one of these and search for bittorrent...you should find many options such as Transmission, Ktorrent, Azureus amongst others.
