need some commands, please
I just started with mandriva, I have been using ubuntu for a month or so and after a grub problem I installed mandriva and do not know how to install firefox 3.1b2. I found 3.0.5 in the repo but I need to know how to install this stuff any help

Hi and welcome to the forums!
If the version you want isn't in the repos, then you'll probably have to download and compile the source code. This isn't as hard as it might sound, and there's a pretty good explanation in this thread.Registered Linux user #388328 || Registered LFS user #15880

this is getting on my nerves the ubuntu command line is just a little different and the apt-get does not work I don't have my windows or ubuntu disks with me (I'm on a business trip) so when I could not boot the mandriva was all I had I managed to some how get the other stuff back so now I am triple booting vista/ubuntu/mandriva what a day any books on mandriva? anyone
