Start with which operating system you are running. Then computer Specs like Pentium Type 1,2,3,or 4, Ram in MB, Are You dual booting or is linux the only operating system. Is it a wubi install or installed through a live cd, stuff like that.

Boy, this one is gonna drive my post count through the roof in 1 thread. Welcome to Linux forums coco12306. I still don't know what Linux Version you are using and I am not a mind reader, just a plain old biker. If you can tell me if its Ubuntu, Mepis, Mandriva, Fedora, Damn Small Linux, Puppy Linux, Nimblex, Slaskware, Give me a bone here to work with. Otherwise I am going to have to give up.

Fedora 10 is a bleeding edge distro for a New user . But I'll try to work with ya even though I have a aversion to rpm distros. I have company so I'll be popping in and out. Fedora 10 would confuse me to, so don't feel like the lone ranger here. Oh, and Welcome to The forum. To bad its Christmas and you ended up with me.

Ok, now to Brass Tacks. I would Start you from the very beginning, and since you are new to Linux, This in my opinion is the best way to start.

The Perfect Desktop - Fedora 10 (GNOME) | HowtoForge - Linux Howtos and Tutorials

This tutorial will give you more than flash player 10 and will educate you a little on how your operating system works. It even comes with screenshots, the best way for a new linux user to pick up on whats what.
