Dont worry, I am very new when it comes to Linux, Im still having problems myselfs. as for poker, im afraid someone with alot more knowledge would need to asnwer that. It obviosuly will inclued dowloading some kind of linxus version of flash or quick time. If your not used to installing programmes etc on linux, it can be quite a challenge at first.

Welcome to the forums!
I don't know anything about betfred, but if it is software that runs on Windows, you can take a look at WINE to see if it will run under Linux using it. There is a WINE Applications Database there you can check for compatibility, as well.
Check the link in my signature for lots of good information on getting started with Linux.
Hope you have fun with it.oz

If it is a web application you are using, you should check whether or not you have the (correct) plug-ins installed. Most of the time there is a Linux alternative for practically Windows application. I have found a list (I think it is thanks to Ozar and TechieMoe) of alternatives for a lot of applications.
The table of equivalents / replacements / analogs of Windows software in Linux. (Official site of the table)
So if I found it thanks to you and TechieMoe, than hereby you are thanked.
