FTP/server is linux, am on PC-need webpage publisher for PC to linux

Surfed everywhere (including the web, godaddy and here) and can't find.

Is there such a thing as a web page building program that will work on a windows system that can then be uploaded to a linux server?

Godaddy webpage is on linux server platform. Am on PC. Current webpage design program used is Joomla! which am no longer interested in using. I do write some HTML, but prefer a site building program.

I can find no place to educate myself in this matter! Do I need to get a linux emulator? This is a work PC, I am the webpage admin....not sure it would be allowed (believe it or not...)

    Help, please?

    Thanks in advance,
    HyperGirl

    Website builder

    Hi Hypergirl,

    Try kompozer

There are windoze and Linux variants.

I have used this program to build websites on windoze, and uploaded to a linux server without any issues.

    Have fun

There are many applications available for Linux, however you will probably find that most people want to write the code them selves. That is because it gives more control over the system. I like to type my own code as well and I'm a huge fan of the command line. As I said, there are a lot of applications available for Linux.

I can give you a list of equivalents of Windows applications in Linux form, this might help you as well in the future. I don't know whether or not there is something interesting here for you, but you should have a look I think.

The table of equivalents / replacements / analogs of Windows software in Linux. (Official site of the table)
