Dual boot with freespire
Hi. Like a lot of people here, I'm tired of XP, and I'm in school, so I don't have much time to get into Linux. I've been googling for the last 2 hours, and I still have questions. Here's the info:
- 110GB HD
- I redid windows and gave it a partition of 65GB (stuff is on flash drive)
- the other 55GB is "unallocated"
- EASEUS partition manager tells me I have the two plus a 256MB "other" partition, which I'm assuming is SWAP?
- EASEUS will let me create FAT, FAT32, NTFS or unformatted
- Freespire needs pre-made partitions for a dual boot
- Does it matter what file system I make it? Won't Freespire write over it anyway?
- 256 MB seems small for a swap
- Can Linux and Windows share the same swap?
- If not, how do I make a swap for linux, and how will Freespire know that its for the swap?
- Do I create the swap within the Linux Partition?
- Windows is Primary right now. Do I make Linux Logical?
I'd really appreciate the help.
