    DSL help.

I burnt the ISO to cd and poped inside my computer and it loads. I type in dsl desktop= fluxbox and then the scary console apears. It detects hardware and stuff untill it does this:

Xauth creating new authority file /home/dsl/.xauthority
Xauth creating new authority file /home/dsl/.xauthority

    giving up
xinit no such file or directory (errno 2): unable to connect to server
xinit no such process (errno3): server error

I just want to get to the GUI and as far away from the scary console as possible! (not in the linux spirit, I know.)

Have you tried Puppy Linux? It is a bit more friendly than DSL and maybe it will work better with your hardware. I ' ve tried it on EeePC, 1 HP laptop and 3 different desktops and I had GUI on all.
