    Angry Please help with aspire one

    i my daughter has a aspire one linpus linux lite.
    cannot connect to internet. wifi icon gone from task bar, cannot get into network centre. acer helpline imposs, tried connecting to internet with cable like they said still dont work to run live update. done recovery disk hasnt worked. please help. is there anything i can wtire in terminal to get things working. many thanks . bec

    To get to the terminal:
    My Documents >> File >> Terminal

    At the prompt:
    Code:
    rm -rf ~/.gconf/system/networking
    rm = remove
    -rf = recursive, force
    ~/.gconf/system/networking = networking directory

    The missing files will be recreated and you should be good to go.

    thanks for your quick reply. tried but it just isnt working, it says
    rm: cannot remove '/home/user//.gsynaptics/syn.convf' : permission denied.
    any other ideas ? thanks anyway.

    Just a thought, Is the WiFi light on? If not then there is a little slide switch on the right side at the front.
