I could be wrong, but everything after the dash is revision numbers, so if unless you're looking at two revisions of the same kernel it's irrelevant. The numbers you're interested in are:
2.26.27.10 versus
2.26.27.8
In which case, the first one is the newer one.Registered Linux user #270181

I got the .10 from opensuse kernel:/HEAD repo.
the .8-11 is from what was just posted today from kernel:/SL111_BRANCH repo and is dated today unlike .10 which is dated the 12th.

I just re-installed opensuse just because of this post.
I do say, SL111_BRANCH, is feelin way better over here, lol
