    Lightweight distro for LAMP?

    Hello,

I got a EEE PC with 512 MB RAM and I would like to run LAMP and develop MySQL and PHP based applications on it. What distro do you suggest for me?

debian can be very lightweight if you do a net install, it will only install packages you need, you can select lamp in the installation process and it will install those things automatically I believe, probably around 500 mb hd space for that

My TOA(Technisch Onderwijs Assistent = Technical Education Assistant) uses Puppy to run everything, however he get's a bit hung because he is afraid of the command line. (As far as I know Puppy has a GUI).
