    Question acer aspire one's own messenger

    hey guys im new to these forums and im not a very advanced linux user.

    im currently using aMSN on my aspire one because i cant get the netbooks own messenger to even load, ive downloaded all the updates but whenever i click on any of the links to start it nothing happens at all.

    any ideas guys? pleaaase.

    I think everyone is confused what you mean by "own messenger", clarify this and we might be able to help. Also, why use aMSN when pidgin is much better and supports MSN protocol?

    aMSN is more usable for long lists of contacts, like I have. Things are a bit more clearly visible. I use Pidgin as well for Google Talk and Yahoo. I must admit that it is a nice application.

    But we really need to know what messenger you are trying to use. You can't expect us to know everything, don't you?

    well the acer aspire one comes with a messenger program made by acer.


    and ye aMSN supports webcam which is why i was using that.
