    Question Help Ive got a Problem

    ok I keep on getting this while trying to install dsl on my laptop
    Autoconfiguring devices... modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module
    block-major-2 modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module block-major-2

    So can any body help with this problem Im at wits end

    You can also try Puppy Linux. It is user friendly enough for a lightweight distro and it may work better with your hardware.

    Welcome to the forums!

    block-major-2 is the floppy drive block device and I'm guessing that you don't have a floppy drive.

    I'm not quite sure how to get around DSL trying to load the module for it, though.

    You might take a look around for some Damn Small Linux cheat codes to see if any of them will work.
