    Look here Installing and removing software - Mandriva Community Wiki its something with urpmi used as root wich is logical.

    I know about the rpm thing but i cant find the "make" command in there. I have a program that i want to install from sorce is all. It tells me that i have to use the make command and it just comes up with

    [root@localhost ~]# make
    -bash: make: command not found

    So um ya.........

    I'd say, go for installing make and see what the out-put is.

    Code:
    rpmdrake make
    From what I've seen that should do the trick.

    did you do the ./configure?
