    Hi and Welcome !

If your machine has internet access then you can install KDE easily. Which Linux distro are you using?
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

That link claims you have Windows and not Linux, open a terminal window and try these commands:
    Code:
    uname -a
    Code:
    cat /etc/*-release
    Code:
    cat /etc/release
If none of these work then try this
    Code:
    find /etc -iname "*release*"
*you need to use sudo or login as root for these commands

If you have Linux on the Acer Aspire One, then you are using Linpus Linux (not exactly a major distribution) which is based on Fedora. The site below has some info on the Acer Aspire w/Linpus, might check it out and see if you can find anything on using kde with it:

None of these commands work? Did you get an error msg or just nothing at all? I can't see any value whatsoever in Linpus if these simple commands don't work. uname -a is a kernel command, this must work.
Keep in mind that these commands need to be run as root or using sudo to preface each command, such as:
    Code:
    sudo uname -a
    Code:
    sudo cat /etc/*-release
    Thanks for the tips yancek.
