    Exclamation Issue in using hostname -s

    Hi,

    I have made appropriate entries in /etc/hosts and /etc/sysconfig/network. When i check it using the

    #hostname i get my hostname which i have set for the server but
    #hostname -s results in hostname: unknown host

    Could somebody help me to resolve this issue. what should be the cause of this error?

    The hosts file needs to have the FQDN then the alias name(computername)
    example me.you.com me
