mount disk on startup

by looking through the help files, I found out how but for some reason when I try to mount as a user and not as super user it won't allow me. It gives the message
cannot mount the device using FUSE library or something
Can someone please help, thanks very much

What distribution are you using?
Some have iron gates on all sides to keep users doing homework and not geeky stuff, like Ubuntu Intrepid.
There are something like 600+ variations of Linux OS. They're not all the same.

Post the contents of /etc/fstab file here. Post your Linux distro's details too.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
