Looking for a good Linux OS on Thinkpad 600e?
Hi,
Longe time browers first time poster! As above really, I've been using DSL (Damb small Linux) for about a year since Windows 2000 packed up and had to format. this is a back up computer I really just used for web browsing. I like the quick set up and ease of DSL but just want a change to a more stable OS.

Here is a older Post from Zenwalks Forum back when Zenwalk was 4.0. Now it's at 5.2 and the kernel is 2.6.25.4 which probably has the module for 600E soundcard by now.

I run Puppy Dingo also b2wild. I just didn't know for sure if He would be able to handle running as a root user. Zenwalk sets up a root and a user account during install. in fact, they have a nice tutorial for installing in the wiki here
