    completely black screen

    Hey ho,
    today my acer extensa notebook arrived and it comitted suicide within the first hour:

    After switching on i wanted to enter the BIOS with pressing F2 when you can read at the screen: Press F2 to enter Setup.

    So I did and i didn't enter the setup, but I just have a black screen with one little cursur at the right corner.
    And I am not able to type anything.

    Had Anyone ever had a problem like that?

    Hi and Welcome !

    Was Notebook working correctly earlier? Does Restart/reboot throw bank screen or it appear on entering BIOS setup only?
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
