Can anyone hellp me or maybe send me a link to install Skype as I've been since yesterday trying with no luck.

When it asks for root password, type in: 111111
If you get dependency errors, please post them here.

    Hi and Welcome !

Download Skype. Right click on downloaded package and click on 'Extract' -- 'Extract all'. Open Extracted folder and double click on skype.sh file. A dialog box will pop up. Click Ok and reboot machine after successful installation.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

Thanks for your help but got this...

You are attempting to run "system-install-packages" which requires administrative privileges, but more information is needed in order to do so.

and when I put in the root password 111111

the same box keeps coming up..any help what I should do.

    Thanks
