    Hi All my name is raj and i new user of linux..i'm trying to install the yahoo msngr on my computer and i'm not able to do it. or can anyone please teach me how to install yahoo msngr on my computer that would be greatful.

    Depending on which distro you installed, pigdin might be already on there. Pigdin supports yahoo messenger.

    If it's not installed, go here: Download Pidgin, the universal chat client

    You might also want to check your package manager for Pidgin. What distro are you using?

    I downloaded the pigdin software and can you please guide me how to install it on the Desktop and Jay i'm using Linux 9.0

    Linux 9.0? Do you mean Fedora 9?
    If you used the package manager, then you shouldn't have to do anything extra. Just look in the Applications menu.

    If you downloaded it form the website I gave you, then there should be a READMD file in there that will tell you exactly what to do. However, if you have a package manager, use that, it takes a lot less work, and there will be no errors.
