Both, Add/Remove and Synaptic use same back-end, apt-get to manage packages. There isn't much difference in both.
Add/Remove lists most popular packages only. Synaptic lists all packages available in sources.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

    Hello Sir, good evening.

These are what I've observed and read from the Internet.

    Add/Remove Applications:
    1. This program is came from the Synaptic Package Manager.
    2. The complete title of the program is already posted and it is not difficult to find the software.

    Synaptic Package Manager:
    1. This program is where Add/Remove Applications came from, let just say "root" of the Add/Remove Applications.
    2. When you search something a software the dependencies of the software are included as well not only the main program.

Please make some corrections or add some info.

    Thanks and God bless.

May be its another step at being more 'user-friently'. Its more convinient for people coming from windows (remember Add/Remove Programs!).

    Add/Remove Applications:
    1. This program is came from the Synaptic Package Manager.
    1. This program is where Add/Remove Applications came from, let just say "root" of the Add/Remove Applications.
Both Synaptic and Add/remove fetches packages list from sources but Add/Remove lists most popular packages only.

    2. The complete title of the program is already posted and it is not difficult to find the software.
Description of each package is available in Synaptic too.
    2. When you search something a software the dependencies of the software are included as well not only the main program.
Add/Remove installs dependent packages too. If it doesn't install dependency, it can't install main package.

Don't confuse yourself. Both are same. Add/Remove lists selective packages in more user friendly manner. Thats it.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
