Best easy linux distro for low spec pc's?
I'm volunteering testing electricals for a charity to resell and currently were not taking in PC's due to data protection act.
I've suggested re formatting and installing linux to get around this.
If anyone knows what linux distros would suit PC's with a low spec (ie: 600mhz, 128mb ram, 10gb HD) and also have a simple to use interface that people new to PC's or have only used windows would be able to pick up quickly that would help me a lot.
Ideally it would install without much user input and not need additional drivers to use most built in modems and ethernet ports.

Welcome aboard!
First, definitely take a look at the link posted by ozar. Lots of good stuff there for older gear.
After you find a distro you like, the interface can be customized for a simple set-up that won't scare off anybody... even if they've never used a computer before
