Lightbulb What is the program/command for switching video devices drivers between v4l and v4l2?

    Hello everybody!

I know there is one out-there but I don't remember it at all.

My webcam doesn't work with V4l2, and that's the default loaded driver.

What's the way for swtiching it back to v4l?

I remember once I fonud a program (I think it was gnome-devices or something like that, honestly I don't remember well) that allowed me to change between using v4l or v4l2 for each video device.

Is there anyone that knows what I'm talking about?

Thank you very much in advance,

    Mauricio

From the command line, as root, use 'rmmod v4l2' (without quotes) to remove one module, and 'modprobe v4l' (or insmod v4l) to insert another module.
