    Unhappy Problem installing fedora 9 on pentium 4

    Hello there
    I m trying to install Fedora on my Pc. But after it starts booting from the cd i get this error.
    "This kernel requires an x86-64 CPU, but only detected an i1586 CPU.
    Unable to boot - please use a kernel appropriate for your CPU."

    What should I do. It's really urgent I have to install Fedora on my pc till tomorrow.
    Please someone please suggest me something

    You have the 64 bit edition of Fedora and your CPU is only 32 bit. You need to download the 32 bit Fedora.

    Looks like the 32 bit is labeled i386, choose that one.

    You have 32bit processor but you are trying to install 64bit version of Fedora. Download 32bit version ( i386 ) of Fedora only. Check here.
