    [SOLVED] Xubuntu

I've been trying to install Xubuntu from a boot cd on an older PC, 4gig hd, 128k ram, 300mhz. It gets as far as the artistic picture of the herring then goes no farther and the screen finally goes blank.

    Thanks

Is there an option to do a Text based installation from the boot screen? I am unsure of Xubuntu (or infact any ubuntu distro tbh)

Glad it worked. I believe you need at least 256 MB RAM to install from a Live CD, so you'll generally need to use alternate install disks.
