Newbie- Sound Problems
Hi, I'm very new to Linux, before I had always used Windows. My dad got me to try linux because of all the viruses in Windows. I love Linux and will never go back to Windows. Now to my problem. I upgrade about 2 weeks ago and everything is great expect that the sound doesn't work when I connect to the internet. It does work in pogo, but trying to look at movie trailers or play on other game sites it doesn't. I tried the quitting kmix, opening konsole, type in su, enter, root password, enter, alsaconf, enter, follow wizard, then service alsa restart, enter, exit, enter, kmix, enter. I have a hp if that helps. I'm not sure of all the other things I have seen listed here about memory and sound cards etc. Any help is welcome. Thanks

So the sound problem is specific with videos viewed through your Web Browser?
Do you know what kind of movie format they are ?
Do you have problem with any videos on youtube ?

Could be a Adobe Flash plugin problem or similar browser plugin problem.
