Hello Everybody,

I'm (hopefully - fingers crossed it all doesn't end in tears) setting up a linux web development server. Since I'm a bit out of my depth, I was hoping to go with a more newbie-friendly distro, like OpenSuse or Ubuntu. However, most of our live sites are hosted on Red Hat boxes, which has made me look into CentOS (as well as Fedora).


My question is, will there be any real benefits to having the dev server on a more similar distribution to the live site when it comes to testing and migration,etc?
