    360 controller as mouse?

    Hi All,

I'm thinking of buying the little dongle thing to get my 360 controller connected. I don't want to use it for video games at all but instead only as a mouse type controller. I use my computer as my media center and it'd be nice to have a controller that I can play/stop/etc for everything (I currently use my cell phone but the program I use isn't the best...). Is this possible or does it only function as a "controller" for video games and such? Thanks all

The only way to know for sure is to try it. I know there are instructions for using multi- button mice in linux somewhere. Unfortunately I don't know where I saw them. I do know that there was a way to find out what signal was sent for each button, and to set up actions for them. You might want to google around to see if you can find it.
