Which Linux for LPI cert?
Hello all,
I am just about to venture into the Linux world and would like to get certified. I am going to do the LPI certification. So, which version of Linux should I install and get familier with?
I will be running Linux on a really old Dell GX150 with a 1ghz proc, 512mb mem and onboard GFX. I had a few probs getting Solaris 10 x86 on it!!!
Thanks in advance.

Tim,
LPI site says its vender independent and distro neutral. So, you need not choose distro _for_ LPI. However, your hardware does have a say in the selection.
You may try Xubuntu which is Ubuntu with XFCE Desktop Environment. (This may also be future proof as I'm sure Ubuntu certifications will become as famous and respected as RHCE is today). Or you can use Zenwalk linux which is an easy to use Slackware.
If you don't like the derivatives, go for Debian or Slackware directly. Am I confusing you?
Frankly buddy, linux is all about choice. YOU decide.
