livecd usb device question
it won't recognize my wireless usb device unless i boot up with it in the device. puppy linux had a option to "enable" after bootup, and i was wondering if theres a simple command i can type into a terminal to active the wireless usb device AFTER bootup.

why do i have to have usb plugged in during linux boot for it to work
the wireless network usb device isn't configured unless its plugged in during bootup? help; i need it to work without rebooting.
