    Unhappy [SOLVED] Urgent : Regarding Linux Distros

    hey guys ,

    I am a linux novice and need your advice regarding various linux distros available . Although i am using Fedora10 , i wanna build an image which can in general support booting for any distro .. ( jus an experiment ) , so i need to know , which one to go for , i specifically need to design this to try out remote booting .

    Help me out please .

    Welcome to the forums!

    I've never created one, but you can check the following webpage for some instructions on creating a multiple OS bootable CD, and it offers a list of various bootable images that you can choose from:

    i guess u dint get the situation ..

    the problem tht i am trying to solve is to boot multiple OSs with single image file , not having multiple boot images in the same boot CD .

    so this doesnt help me ... the prblem still remains ....

    Any reason why you want one image.. rather than multiple images on one disk?

    or even having a 4gig flash with 6ish distros on it?

    the reason

    the only reason i want do to it is becoz i want to explore the potential of PXE booting by creating a generic boot image and then thru it connecting to a remote virtual machine tht may b any linux distro ....

    best distro (my opinion) for newbees is ubuntu... and you can do anything you want with'it.and you have a lot of support on the net for it
