    Red face Couldn't install kchmviewer-4.0.tar.gz

    Hello everyone,

I have dual boot windows xp2 and Fedora 8 and want to view .chm file in linux which i am able to open in windows.

I read forums and came to know that 'kchmviewer-4.0'software can solve this. So i downloaded kchmviewer-4.0.tar.gz from the internet.

Before installing i read the Linux HOW TO reference material for installing software in GNU/Linux so got a better direction. I extracted the tar file and read the README file of the software.
It says ' step 3. INSTALLATION
    3.2 KDE4 version
To compile the version of kchmviewer with KDE4 support, follow the procedure:
    > tar zxf kchmviewer-<version>.tar.gz
    > mkdir build
    > cd build
    > cmake ..
    > make
    > sudo make install '

So i did the same. After extracting i created a build directory and then cd build. And then when i enter cmake .. it says COMMAND NOT FOUND'
it is bash shell by the way.
Can anyone help me how do i complete my installation.

    Thanks

try this RPM, then you just click it and it installs

it's for Fedora Core 7 but it should work. Why are you using such an old version of FC? FC 11 was recently released and I've heard good things....
