Remote Desktop Viewer in Pubuntu
I'm trying to use Remote Desktop Viewer with Pubuntu (portable Linux) to connect to my own system and
when I put my ip address in there to connect it just shows a black
screen what could be wrong? How can this be corrected? Please use a user-friendly response if you can.

Is the other machine reachable i.e can you ping it.
Only if I could understand the man pages

Yes it pings just fine.
