    openmovieeditor updates

    I have open movie editor installed/updated ( from syaptics ) and running on 2 different machines with the same problem ( the title pull down menu ) does not work, I tried in both ubuntu 8.4 and mint 7, same problem in both. It seems there may be a fix for it, but the fix can only be installed from terminal... does that seem likley that a bug patch would only be available to install in terminal, and not in synaptics manager ? this fix is going to be a new experience for me. thanks.

    yeah that seems likely. Synaptic is quite a bit behind the times, just look at what kernel version Ubuntu runs and see what the newest Linux kernel is to get a glimpse at how long it takes for synaptic to update repos (I don't blame them, they allow bugs in new software to be figured out before adding).

    I've had to install bug patches via terminal so it's not that rare
