    Gnome Desktop

    Hi,

I'm running Red Hat Enterprise Linux version 5 and am having problems with my X server. MY problem is As long as the file /tmp/.X0-lock exists I am not getting GUI (Gnome) Login.

But Once I deleted .X0-lock file through shell prompt fire command startx then only GUI screen will appear other wise not.

I want GUI should appear bydefault once i boot the system.

    How to solve this Problem.

If everything else fails, have the lock files deleted with the startup or shutdown scripts.
