Import Thunderbird 2 to Thunderbird 3

    Hi All,

I've been wanting to try out Thunderbird 3 for awhile now but I installed and I can't figure out how to import everything from thunderbird 2 (I do need everything, calendar settings (multiple), contact, email accounts, email, etc...). Any ideas? I've googled quite a bit and can't find an easy way to do it. Thanks all

When I did a fresh new install of Ubuntu, I worried that I would lose all that stuff even though I UNCHECKED the format box in my /home partition. I lost the program, but not the calendar and address book and settings! All I had to do was uninstall Evolution and install Thunderbird and bingo - everything was there just like I had it before.

Try removing Thunderbird2 (using Synaptic) and installing Thunderbird3. Your stuff just might be automatically imported just like mine was even after a whole new intall!
