Which version of Linux is the quickest to boot from a Live CD?

I have used freespire and PCLinux these are both full Linux versions but they both take a good while to a) install and b) run from the Live CD, can anyone recommend a stripped down version of Linux that is quick to boot from a live CD etc but still has a good amount of featues, for testing purposes?

Parted Magic boots pretty quickly. It's a small download so it should take you long to try it and see if it boots quickly enough for you.

Depending on your hardware AntiX fits that bill. 30 seconds to Desktop on Ibm T23 and Asus EEE 900. Both are installed though.

    Puppy is pretty quick.

TinyCore and Slitaz are both very fast.

I love Puppy, but from LiveCD you have to put the information which keyboard, the screen parameters and so on which makes it not so quick in booting.
Therefor I think Knoppix would be much better or even openmamba.
