    Raid array; spinning down

I have two software raid arrays. One raid 1 (2x200GB) with the OS (clarkconnect) and one with the home, flex shares raid 1 or raid 5 (4x1000GB). What i want to do is spinning down the software raid array with shares because overnight it is not used. mail, logs, etc are on the OS array and always spinning. Is it possible to spinning down a software raid array?

    ClarkConnect RAID spindown

    Hi !

have a look at using hdparm with Clark Connect

    See "W(orld)W(ide)W(eb)ulverston.myzen.co.uk/mini-itx/pages/tuning.htm"

I read that it hdparm only works after kernel 2.6.6.1 (?)

    HTH !

    regards / mvg

    James
