Navy Wife need help!!
MY husband is in Chicago for schooling. I have a Dell mini 9 net book with Linux Ubuntu. I cant connect to the internet because he said somehow the driver was deleted. My question is if I buy an external disc drive and XP home edition and load it from the BOOT? menu will this work? I'm not very technical and need help so he can web cam with my 8mon old son and I. Thank you for any ideas and comments..

This is hard to understand. You should still be able to connect to your router by using an ethernet cable.I cant connect to the internet because he said somehow the driver

Have you got an entry on your Menu that says something like "Hardware Managers" or "Restricted Drivers"? Does Broadcom Wireless show up an that?

Hi and welcome.
Assuming this is the factory install of Ubuntu, there should be a recovery partition you can use to restore to the factory settings.
