Hello,

I am using Debian lenny and my soud card is not automatically configured when I boot up. If I run #alsaconf, it will configure the card but everytime I reboot I have to run #alsaconf to reconfigure it since the changes don't stick. Also, even though alsaconf sets up my sound card, I don't have sound in mplayer or MoviePlayer I can only get sound from the cd player and some video from the internet. In mplayer when I open the program it says it could not open/initialize audio device. Please, I need help with this. I've gotten little to no response in other forums.
