weird firefox startup message that's annoying

When i start firefox from command line as root, a dialog box that says this:

An error occurred while loading or saving configuration information for firefox. Some of your configuration settings may not work properly.

It's not dangerous really, just annoying that I have to deal with it every time. My settings still work tho. Any ideas?

You could try renaming the .mozilla folder in your /home directory, this may make things reset to default but it may also get rid of the error. If it does not work then you can rename it back the way it was.

Here is a dumb question, why are you using a browser as root?

HEHE, It's not really a dumb question, I would have asked the same thing if I had been paying attention to the OP post. Thanks for catching that.

That was my point. Why would anyone go on-line as root?
