I sure this is something simple, but i never knew how to. IM using mint 7 and it defaults to their homepage at boot...but their page is often really really slow to load, I've been just going to favorites before it loads, but I just want to make something else home page..how do I do that ? thanks.

Go to the page you want to use.
Firefox>Edit>Preferences>Main Tab>Use Current Pages

doing as above will just add current as homepage and show at startup of firefox
or
in firefox>>Edit>>Preferences
just write your desired homepage URL in the Homepage's text box.
although, both are same things.Sorry, it was unintentional.
You should have told me at least once and i could have fix it.
