Netbook-friendly advice
Hello,
This looks a really useful site that I'll be coming back to a lot.
I'm very new to Linux. Having developed a bit of a fascination with the idea of open source software and operating systems, I've finally got around to getting a little HP 2133 so I can play around with it all without jeapordising my main computer. I also hope to use the netbook for travel, as it's so compact.
I've had a hunt around and looked at the sticky threads, as I'm thinking about changing OS. The netbook came with Suse 10, but I would like something that's more user-friendly for netbooks. Everything is really small on the screen! I'm very tempted by Ubuntu Netbook Remix, but would be interested in personal recommendations of other netbook friendly OSs. Fedora and Debian have also been mentioned as quite easy to use.
I should point out that I am completely new to this, so the learning curve is going to be steep!
Thank you in advance! Be gentle!!!

welcome!
Ubuntu Netbook Remix is very good for netbooks.
may be you have visited, just to remind you:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UNRSorry, it was unintentional.
You should have told me at least once and i could have fix it.
thanks for reminding me.

Thanks - yes, I've had a look. I'm just hoping that any previous issues with my netbook (HP 2133) have been resolved with this release. I'm going to have a look at a boot from USB version tomorrow and then I will make a decision.
I believe Fedora is also quite good ...
I just need an external CD/DVD drive now!
